Spirit of the Earth Church
New Church in Hopkinsville caring for the earth
Rev. Nancie Clark was one the foundresses of Spirit of the Earth in March of 2008 in Hopkinsville and the community is growing. They are 35 members strong now.
"We hold a deep respect for Nature in all of Her forms, and through that respect promote and provide Rituals that are linked to the seasonal cycles and the phases of the moon, for the greater community.
We strive to live in harmony with Nature in all of Her forms through promoting environmentally safer practices."
Spirit of the Earth had an Earth Day Celebration on April 17-18, 2009 where they had an art contest for students, the Mayor of Hopkinsville spoke as did the official responsible for the local recycling program and someone from Clarksville Red Water Shed.
Spirit of the Earth Church uses the Universal Unitarian Church of Hopkinsville building. They helped that congregation to start a recycling program.
