2/13 – Energy Prayer in Action Day in Frankfort

Kentucky Interfaith Power and Light is once again teeming up with the Kentucky Council of Churches and KYSEA to lobby for cleaner energy in Kentucky.  This lobbying event is part of the Kentucky Council of Churches’ “Prayer in Action Days.”

We will be advocating for the Clean Energy Opportunity Act and our focus this year will be on new lawmakers that are not familiar with the legislation.  This legislation is championed by the Kentucky Sustainable Energy Alliance (or KYSEA) which is a coalition of Kentucky based organizations that support a transition to clean energy in our state.  The CEOA sets goals for Kentucky’s energy portfolio in both renewable energy sources and reductions through increased efficiencies.

We will be meeting in Frankfort on February 13 at 9:30 at the Capitol Annex Building in room 131.  If you are interested in lobbying please let us know by February 6.  This gives us more time to contact your lawmakers to schedule a meeting as well as helps us plan better for transportation.  Please email info@kentuckyipl.org to let us know you are interested.
