Sit In for the Mountains

Since Earth Day 2011, Kentuckians have been maintaining a peaceful presence in the governor's office one day a week (during office hours). This action is inspired by the weekend occupation of that office in February by a group of Kentuckians determined to hold the Beshear administration accountable for its complicity with the coal industry.   To learn more (and sign-up) click here

Senators Shaheen and Portman Introduce Energy Efficency Bill

U.S. Senators Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) have introduced bipartisan legislation that would enact a national energy efficiency strategy.

The Energy Savings and Industrial Competitiveness Act of 2011 is a national strategy to increase the use of energy efficiency technologies in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors of our economy, while also fostering job creation.  We are encouraging you to call your senator in support of this bill.  To read more click here.
