Dear ,
May was a busy month for us at Kentucky IPL. We went to Washington, DC for our National Interfaith Power & Light Conference and came home with lots of good ideas for Kentucky. We met with John Yarmuth, Brett Guthrie, Ben Chandler, Geoff Davis and the staff of Mitch McConnell and Ed Whitfield. We were accompanied by Rev. Richard Cizik and Rev. Sally Bingham and talked to the lawmakers about the importance of climate change legislation.
We had a productive West Kentucky Gathering in Maple Mount and have big hopes for building a team to work on creation care in that part of the state. We continue to work on the Greening West Louisville program as we are finishing energy audits for two congregations and have a third one scheduled. We are always looking for volunteers for this and many other projects if you are ever interested in helping.
Many blessings,
Tim Darst
