LG&E Energy and Kentucky Utilities are asking the Public Service Commission (PSC) for permission to raise their rates. Among the reasons they give is to fund the construction of more coal-fired power plants, specifically the new Trimble County Plant. They cannot raise the rates without PSC permission. We must stop the construction of these plants by stopping the funding.
Please urge the PSC to deny permission to LG&E and Kentucky Utilites to raise our rates.

Just Creations Shopping to benefit the St. William Solar Panel Project
6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Friday, August 29, ride the trolley and shop fair trade while supporting our efforts to purchase sustainable energy of our church. Fifteen percent of that night's sales will go to the solar panel project. We buy fair trade goods because it helps to provide a fair wage for the artisans and enables them to pay for food, education, health care, and housing. With sustainable energy, we are preserving the mountains that are home to the people of Appalachia and we are preserving clean air for us all to breathe.
